Inspired by the shades, lines and textures of his local landscape, Martin Up North showcases a palette of earthy, environmental tones in this, his latest design - the Landscape Shawl. The soft, muted shades of Scheepjes’ sustainable Scrumptious yarn feature a gentle heathered effect, adding texture and serenity to a striking geometric Tunisian crochet pattern. Participants are invited to choose one of Martin’s two colourways or curate their own, inspired by their own surroundings –perhaps a view, a park, or a moment captured on a favourite walk.

This intermediate Make-A-Long is suitable for adventurous beginners through to advanced crocheters who are interested in learning the Tunisian crochet entrelac technique (using a standard crochet hook) or practising this method with a relaxing project. As with his Get Connected MAL, Martin hopes that this MAL will bring participants together, this time through sharing their local or favourite landscapes around the world, as they create their own masterpieces based on these most loved views.

The Landscape Shawl PDF pattern will be available in English (UK terms) and Dutch via Martin’s Ravelry page at a special reduced price of €4 during the MAL (regular price €6). For an even bigger reduction, participants who pre-order by 23 May will pay just €3! (Prices are subject to variation based on local currency and taxes).
 
To allow time for participants to purchase materials, the MAL will begin on 24 May, three weeks after Scheepjes publicly launch the project via social media.  During the MAL, Martin will release a related blog post on martinupnorth.com every Wednesday and include helpful photo and video tutorials. As always, highly skilled mods and admins, will be on hand in the Scheepjes Official Facebook Groups to offer support during and after the MAL.
